Drake will claim its third straight Pioneer Football League title and third straight trip to the FCS playoffs with a victory on Saturday against Morehead State. The Bulldogs take a 7-3 overall record and 6-1 PFL record into Senior Day.
That's Drake coach Joe Woodley. The Bulldogs have put themselves at the doorstep of another title by winning the close games. Drake is 3-1 against the other contenders and their average margin of victory is less than six points.
A year ago, Morehead State spoiled Senior Day at Drake with a 29-20 win and it forced the Bulldogs to delay their championship clinching victory by a week.
The Bulldogs clinched a share of the crown last week with a 14-6 win at Dayton.
