The Audubon Boys basketball season has come to an end finishing with an 11-12 record. The Wheelers' season ended with a 57-32 loss to ACGC in the second round of the postseason. Audubon came into the postseason with some momentum winning three of their final five regular season contests.
Wins for the Wheelers often came in pairs this season as Audubon's six of their eleven victories came on back-to-back wins. It was and up-and-down year for the Wheelers as they faced a 4-game losing streak in Early January and bounced back winning three of their next four games. Audubon returns their top three scorers from this season in Brody Schultes, Austin Christensen, and Carson Wessel. All three of those players will be playing in their senior season in the 2025-2026 campaign. Christensen was the team's leading rebounder and was tied for the team lead in steals a game also.
Audubon graduates four seniors in Mason Steckler, Aaron Olsen, Oliver Deist and Colton Hansen. Olsen, Hansen, and Deist all started for the Wheelers, while Steckler was a key player off of the bench.
Head Coach Darran Miller says he was happy with the way his team is improving especially on the defensive side of the basketball.
Miller discusses his rotation and the depth of that will really benefit next year's team.
The four seniors were very impactful to the program but is excited for the ones the Wheelers bring back.
Audubon will be hitting the gym this summer and determined to get to that winning record in 2025-2026.
